I LOVE this tool and use it for so many things -
- the curved end for holding down gathers in front of the needle
- to redistribute gathers as sewing
- the square end to double check my 1/4" seam allowance!
- there's a slit so that you can add a ribbon to wear it around your neck when you are in class

I have one at each machine in my sewing room. They are terrific!
